Christchurch InterActive aims to :

InterActive was established in September 2001 by four groups; the Christchurch Animal Rights Group, the Aoraki Young Greens, the Anarchist Round Table and Christchurch Independent Media. Interactive is an Otautahi/Christchurch activist centre that aims to promote and encourage involvement in social justice and environmental activism. The centre operates to increase co-operation and networking between activists and between activists groups, promote the equitable distribution of power throughout society, provide a physical space for activists to meet, organize and share resources, and to generally foster activism in Otautahi/Christchurch.

An organising collective runs InterActive on a day-to-day basis with representatives from the four groups. The groups make decisions by consensus. Meetings are open to anybody who wishes to be involved in the functioning of the centre, even if they do not belong to any of the four groups with office space at InterActive.
